|---|---|
| Activity | Introduction / Direct Teaching |
| Duration | 10 minutes |
| Description | Review previous lesson on linear equations |
| Resources | Whiteboard, previous worksheets |
Example Lesson Structure:
| Time | Activity | Description |
|---|---|---|
| 5 min | Introduction | Recap linear equations, introduce quadratics |
| 15 min | Direct Teaching | Explain standard form ax² + bx + c = 0 |
| 15 min | Guided Practice | Work through examples together |

- Find the Curriculum Topic field
- Select the topic from your syllabus:
- Unit 3: Quadratic Equations
- 3.1 Standard Form
- 3.2 Factorization
- 3.3 Quadratic Formula
- Unit 3: Quadratic Equations
- The system tracks which topics you've covered
Viewing Coverage
To see your curriculum coverage:
- Go to your subject class
- Click Curriculum Coverage
- See:
- ✅ Topics covered (with lesson links)
- ⏳ Topics in progress

- Attendance note: How many students present
- Actual duration: If different from planned
Adding Reflections
Reflections help you improve:
- Open a completed lesson
- Click Add Reflection
- Answer prompts like:
- What worked well?
- What would you change?
- Did students meet objectives?
- Save your reflection

Tips for Success
Create lesson plans at least a week in advance. This gives you time to prepare resources and allows for review if required.
If you teach the same lesson to multiple classes, create once and duplicate. Save common structures as templates.
Always link your lessons to syllabus topics. This helps track coverage and ensures you don't miss anything.
Take 2 minutes after each lesson to note what worked. Your future self will thank you.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to get my lesson plans approved?
This depends on your school's policy. Some schools require HOD approval, others don't. Check with your administration.
Can I edit an approved lesson plan?
Minor edits may be allowed, but major changes might need re-approval. This depends on your school's settings.
What if I don't finish a lesson as planned?
Mark it as partially completed and create a follow-up lesson. Add notes about what wasn't covered.
Can parents see my lesson plans?
Usually no - lesson plans are internal. Only teachers and administrators can view them by default.
How do I handle combined classes?
Create one lesson plan and tag both classes, or duplicate the plan for each class.
Can I import lesson plans from Word documents?
Currently, you'll need to copy and paste the content. Direct import may be available in future updates.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Solution |
|---|---|
| Can't create lesson plan | Make sure you're assigned to teach the class |
| Topic not in syllabus list | Ask admin to update syllabus/curriculum setup |
| Can't edit approved plan | Contact HOD to unlock or request revision |
| Resources won't upload | Check file size limits and supported formats |
| Missing periods/times | Timetable may not be set up - contact admin |
